For us, it’s all about improving. Setting a goal, marking your progress, and celebrating success. We’re a place of journeys, and we’re honored you’ve chosen the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center as your destination for wellness. We want to be the place where you strengthen your heart – in every way possible.
To improve your overall service experience, we’re thrilled to share these improvements:
A newly imagined entrance and lounge experience: We want to say good morning and good evening every time you walk through the door, greeting you by name and making you feel at home. We’ll create a new guest lounge to support the thing we do best: build community.
More present staff and services: We’ve moved our member sales and services spaces to better handle your needs right away. We’re building a member services kiosk right on the floor, the better to help you register for class, find a resource on the web, or just engage in a quick conversation or share a meaningful health tip.
A new layout: Our cardio equipment (all of which will have been upgraded within the past two years once we reopen!) will be laid out in a thoughtful plan. The floors will be new, the paint fresh, and the overall ambiance more open. We’ll move the free weight area, invest in a new universal strength training system, install a new functional stretch area, and take advantage of additional floor space by closing the doors to the gym and realigning staff workstations.
One point of access: The stairs leading up from the locker rooms will be renovated and will serve as the primary footpath between the two floors.

The fitness floor will be temporarily located within the Daniel M. Soref Community Hall beginning Friday, May 20th. We anticipate moving the fitness floor back to its reimagined space at the end of summer.
